Garden City Advancement Award program is designed among other things to:
3.1 Ensure that recognition is based on the individual/organization contribution to the nation building.
3.2 Ensure that we identify and accord due recognition to excellent achievers in Rivers State.
3.3 Ensure that awards are used to motivate, recognize and reward eligible individuals and organizations for their outstanding contribution to economic growth or other improvements in the advancement of Rivers State.
3.4 Ensure that due weight is given to awards when qualifying and selecting recipients for award and that all approved award recommendation are documented.
3.5 Ensure that awards are used to the extent that shall best support and enhance organizational goals and objectives and meet employee recognition needs.
3.6 Ensure that awards are strictly on merit and shall be free from discrimination regardless or race, color, religion, age, sex, ethnicity or disability.
